Didn't I hear you had a really bad rod knock in your engine? Did it finally crap out?

This reminds me of my summer.

You're a tad bit crazy for doing that in this weather though!

speaking of the weather. Similar deal for me, I'll have to do head gasket in 15 degree weather.

Yay! [/sarcasm]

He has a hole where there isn't supposed to be one now, and metal pieces where there are not supposed to be any

Ain't gonna stop me. Thermal pants, several sweatshirts, gloves and my ipod and I'm ready to go!

Yep.. that's the deal unfortunately. Gotta pull the motor and see what's wrong.. I'm hoping I can rebuild it, I'd rather not drop in a new motor. I can guarantee you that everything will be done right once the motor's out.

Sounds like you have the right attitude... last winter I did my cat in the driveway laying in the snow, nothing gonna stop me if I want it done!

If it makes you feel any better, my engine crapped out too. Had a shop put in a cam and it was a tooth off, so an intake valve went through a piston...my 402 shortblock comes in on the 15th.

Which lid is that? I know its custom painted, but Im looking for one that fits better than my SLP lid.

It was listed as an SLP lid when I bought the car.. but it's not. Pretty sure it's an MTI lid, 'cause it was textured, not smooth.

If you read it right, it says "I did my cat". It says nothing about working on cars!
What... my girlfriends name is cat?

Thanks. Are you pulling tho motor through the top or did you just want to see how much damage there was?
