Default guys....I need HELP

I have a black 2000 Camaro SS and I'm having problems.....not engine problems or ne thing like that tho. I'm debating if I should keep her, she is always scratched up (in the clearcoat, not fingernail deep), no matter what I do it scratches, and trust me, I'm not cheap on cleaning products. I put these stickers on and now want to remove them, then I had the factory put this $1,000 option of "armor" which helps protect black paint, but guess what? it made my undercarraige all rock hard black (like tar)=really sticky and it follows in the engine bay! I take great care of her, only has 6,000 miles!!!, and its beginning to just pis$ me off, I'm thinking bout getting a mustang, lol, PLEASE I need help with opinions...basically losing interest

Well, Let's not be drastic here!

For the fine swirls and scrathes, 3M Finesse It swirl mark remover works wonders. Meguires Gold Class works good as a off the shelf wax. Use only all cotton towels. The absorber works great for drying the car, take patience though. Many will tell you to use Zaino, I have seen black cars, that have used Zaino and it does look fabulous! Black cars, take a lot of care and patience.

Sticker, use a hair dryer to warm them up, peel, use goo gone to remove, the residue. Then polish back up.

The under coat and goo in the engine compartment, will take some work, it is you choice to remove it. Most likely have to use some fairly harsh solvents to get rid of it. Kerosene will remove just about anything, but should test to make sure it doesn't effect the paint.

Thanx for ur advice andy, I actually use a lot of mothers products which seem to only hide the swirls, I will take ur advice and try the 3M Fineese but where could I find it? Pep Boys or Murray's maybe? About the stickers: I do have Goo Gone, now... so I blow dry the sticker then just rub the Goo Gone on the sticker and then peel... is this correct, sorry, I'm a little nervous, thanx in advance,

Mike

For the decals, just warm them up gently with a hair drier, start a corner with you finder nail and peal the decal off. If there is any sticky residue, Use Goo Gone to get rid of it. Be gentle and try not the scratch the decal off.

3M products I have been able to find more readily at Pep Boys. If not there try a local NAPA.

I nice little 10 orbit waxer (NOT A BUFFER!!!!) Will come in nice and handy for those quick waxes. Remember COTTON BONNETS!!!!!

I really like the Meguires products, but I will say they are not a very long lived product on the car. My Red SS quite often gets quite a few swirls in it after washing but a quick coat of Gold Class, takes them right out.

I do have the entire Zaino kit for my car, and am waiting to give it a whirl. I must admit I've seen a black WS6 with Zaino and all I can say is WOW! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
