Basically the carbon films have gray, silver, or black, areas. They also have transparent areas. This is where the basecoat color comes through. In your case it would be tan.
So your could have a tan and black carbon fiber, tan and silver, etc...

Thank you for the explanation of various colors. I think the tan base with silver will actually give the best "CF" look as I think black is too much of a contrast personally.
If you ever get a chance to do tan & silver CF I would like to see a sample please before committing to something so big without seeing it.
Great work, and thanks regardless.

More hydro work. This is the fine level of detail for the work we can do!
Being able to work with the plastic, and metal, as well as the hydro gives us a little more fine ability.
All done in house except the clearcoat. We have a professional shop spray the clear. 3 layers of automotive clearcoat on each piece.

The pattern has to be an existing film. We use a few suppliers, so we can get all of them.
Let me know what you are thinking of, and I will know what type of films to show you.
The upper and lower air lids together would be about $300.00
Please let me know

Ok. This is not a sloppy quick dip. Precautions must be taken with this type of piece.
1) These are usually pretty dirty, so we must fully sand and clean the part,
2) All ports and entry ways into the intake must be sealed, or bits of film can get into your intake. If you look at our pictures you can see where we have done this. Bad thing to get contaminiants in the intake.
3) All locations where bolts will torque onto the intake are masked off. If you look at our pictures you can see where we have done this. You Do not want to hydro over these areas. The bolts will strip off your finish when they are tightened. This will tear your clear.
4) Adhesive promoters, and a full coat of high build primer are applied
5) Sanded down again and basecoat painted.
6) Part is dipped
7) Part is sprayed with 3 complete layers of automotive clear, in a filtered professional paint booth.. The same thing on your car. A lot of guys try to cut corners here to save costs.
Not three full coats, inexpensive clear, spraying in their garage... etc.... And I can even spray more than three if you like.
8) Part is fully polished, and shipped to you.
$280.00

just threw up a little on the honda parts
..... and thats being nice.
But that carbon weave actually doesnt look bad, looks like it could be quite convincing on smaller parts. Maybe doing some business in the future.
