i would go 5 or 10%, mine are 20 on the sides, limo in back, and 35 up front, and you can see thorugh all the way around except the rear and I dont like that.

do you have anything covering the t-tops (if you have them)? because they let a lot of light in the car. theres no way in hell you should be able to see through with 5% on the back, 20 on the sides, and 35 on the winshield. someone must've been lying to you about what they were putting on

i have 5 on the rear, and i believe 15 on the sides, i forget exactly whats on the sides, and my t-tops are painted black. i get NO light in the car, and there is NO visibility inside unless you are looking through the windshild...that is atleast until i get that tinted as well, i'll probably do 50 there.

let me pull up some pics real quick

15% sides, 5% rear

I like my setup, don't go 5% on the sides though, 15% max imo.

^the 3 shops shops i've gone to had 5, 15, 35, and 50 i think. i've never heard of 10, and if there is a 10, its really unnessecary for the sides, as is 5%. 15 is plenty dark, if you do everything as a set, you wont be able to see through 15 on the sides. and if you have to drive at night, make sure your windows work, because you're going to need to roll them down to look out the back or see your rear views everytime you need to go in reverse.

Mine were already tinted when I bought it, pretty sure they are 15% though. I had 2% on my tahoe the only thing I recommend if you go that route is to get the back window 15% so you can see when backing.

Sorry for it being a family pic, but its the best one I have of the windows. Mine are 20% side and rear and 35% on the windshield. (And I have the t-top shades in.)

The windshield tint makes the others look darker...if you can pull it off its a must!

Alright I'll post my pics up. First things first... I have 20 all alround. This is not nearly dark enough. If I could do it again I would have gone 5 on the back and probably the sides. Tint makes a car look so much better. Right now on a sunny day you can see people siting in the car. This bothers me so bad. I don't like that. Now if its cloudy or dark you can't see in at all. Which is what I wanted. Now as for backing up... Your going to have to roll your window down no matter what, unless you go 50% which is a waste of money. So if I were you I would go as dark as possible on the back and at least 15 on the sides. You'll be amazed at how much the factory tint lets light through on the t tops. So here are my pics. Post up your car when you get it done.

20% on the sides and back glass. 35% on the windshield with a 5% strip. I hate the strip. I'm getting it redone when it warms up, without the strip.

Isn't it illegal to tint the windshield?
I like that darker tint. I have unknown tint on my windows currently, but it's fairly light. I swapped on my hatch and it has different tint (much darker). It's almost impossible to see when reversing at night.
I want to get it all redone, but not until I fix my damn A/C! No use in getting nice tint, if I have to roll down the windows to breathe anyway!

here in california it is illegal to do any tint on the front side windows, and windshild. everything else is legal. and it seems like i've heard that some states like texas and az. get to do more with the tints than here. i have been pulled over/ told by police on numerous occasions over the past 4 years that my windows are too dark and i need to remove the tint. but they all just let me know, and warned me...that is except one a$$hole who decided to stop me and pull me over. gave me a ticket right there on the freeway. it was a fix it ticket so i removed it so i wouldnt have to pay the $200+ ticket. and then retinted the windows.

Windows up

windows down in garage

Out front window, can't remember if I used a flash or not

this was before I had a window broken out and redid the front 2, still 5% on the sides/rear but no tint on the windshield.

passenger side window was down
