Any way to test a fuel pressure gauge?

Default Any way to test a fuel pressure gauge?

I unhooked it a couple months ago, and then uninstalled it from my car a few days ago. And now the gauge reads ~54psi when unhooked, is it bad now?

hook it up to the battery. see if the needle drops.
