I think it was five or so years they said since the Super Chevy Show has been in Seattle.

-I was a blast, the Pacific Northwest Camaro Club that I belong to won the club participant award.

-I met up with Mike from OR (Stealth Performance), with his mint orginal 68 SS and took some pics with our cars together.

-Watched some drag racing, jet cars were cool, my kids loved them.

-And...I have to say it, you know how I hate to brag <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> but I am bubbling over with joy...

I took first place in the modified class.

Kudos to the board directors, and may others who give out ideas for cutting edge mods on our cars.

I will share my results...

I scored 80 out of 100. I met with the judge after the show to see what he looked for.

While he was looking at my car's engine compartment the judge was nodding his head like something was wrong. I was worried. Afterwords he told me this was my strongest area and it was near perfect, 24 out of 25 points.

The areas I received penalties were for scratches on my roll bar where I get in and out, and he said even though the car is new the paint needs worked, one area had orange peel, 2inch by 2inch spot. There may of been a few more points but I can not remember.

I even painted the front nose support before the show thanks to Andy's post. Don't get used to looking at things, I was and what a difference.

I cant believe they banged you for points on a 2x2 squre of orange peeled paint! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> I should have brought my car to give them an example of bad paint, then they would have totally looked over any microscopic blemishes on your car!

Since I have Pewter I get away with more but I got knocked down for what the judge called a "door ding".. I asked him how that could be since our doors are plastic and he pointed out a slight wave where the door handle is bolted in.. not much I can do to fix that.. Black is a hard color cause ANY imperfections stand out so much.. you could have your car wet sanded and buffed.. would remove any orange peel..

Judging at Super Chevy is very fair but not very consistant point wise from show to show.. in Vegas i scored a 92 in the modified class and was beat by a trailered LT1 car with suicide doors, candied flames, white leather interior, etc.. he scored a 94.. I think he was a little surprised it was that close since I should have been in street class (silly old paint rule)..

Well Todd congrats on the win.. i really didnt see you getting beat by anyone up that way.. youve put a TON of work in your car and it shows.. now about them wheels <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Also since your in modified class (because of the supercharger) they expect more mods in the interior.. im sure you could pick up a LOT of points there <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
