Question 1998 Z28 Hood Insulator Pad?

Anyone know where to find these. Looks like it is a discontinued item for GM and no luck on ebay. Found one for 1997 but the 98's are a little different. Thanks

Is it still in good shape? Can you send a pic to indy2kz28@yahoo.com? Thanks for the help I guess most just pull them off and don't replace.

I'm guessing that the pad keeps the hood from getting as warm from the engine heat, but is it really necessary?

i never even though about it, or paid any attention to it. when i put the aftermarket hoods on i just took my original hoods down to our storage room. i'll try and get some pictures of it for you tomorrow.

there was a thread started a while ago about this, and most people said that it was not really necessary, and many had pulled it off for a cleaner look.
