Default getting CME

So I've been looking around to find OEM center mount exhaust and It's so expensive even used. Then today I was driving and I saw a wrecked red camaro ss with center mount exhaust driving the opposite way. I flipped around and caught up to him and he lived right by me. I offered him 150 for the exhaust and the valence and he accepted! picking it up tuesday! what a steal!

Fishing String wrapped around both hands, making it look like your gonna choke someone. start on one side of the valence and in a sawing motion continue until you reach the end. you can use a heat gun to soften the tape. google how to remove an emblem, its the same way sorta

Make sure you remove the two body plugs (one behind each wheel). Then go at it with the fishing string (a high pound line) and you're good to go Congrats on the find !

Thanks 6LITEREATER! Is there a special technique to remove the body plugs?

Bring a kitchen fork with you. You pull out a center plug with it and then the rest of it will slide out...

You don't need to use fishing line. I've pulled mine off and installed it plenty of times so I could get it as straight as possible and all you have to do is take the screws off on each side and the center. Then you just start on one side and pull it off.

I wouldn't recommend that...

1) If it is original CME from SLP it is a much thinner urethane and could tear or distort...

2) If it is the type I used to sell made by Klumzeye it is a thicker urethane and you should be ok but I still wouldn't chance it if it has been on there for a long time...

3) If it happens to be one of my newer ones (been selling since July so it could be) you would break it doing that as it is a flexible fiberglass and made to retain shape. Yank on it and it won't like it...

Interesting... I did it about 3 times with a valence I had from you and I did it about 6 or so times with my OEM one. The valences in my experience are not that fragile as long as you do it slowly.
