Can the plastic behind the air lid be removed?

i think he's talking about the stock baffles(?) that are around the air box.

Yes so it looks like the picture behind the air filter lid. I just think it takes away from making the engine look good

almost positive hes talking about these, i think their called the baffles. not sure.
-only plastic behind the air filter. i think it can be removed while keeping the rest, but i'm not sure. just swap
out the whole air lid for an SLP's lid or some other brand.

lol i forgot that they had baffles lol pick up a lid man and that will get rid of them and will also increas throttle response i beleive

I believe if you remove the baffles, you have to buy a new air lid. As Crimson's pic shows:



the air filer exit opening is oval, while the MASS air filter opening is round. No way of connecting the two directly without something to. Aftermarket lids have openings that are round and will connect right up.
