200mph gauges
I called them and told them it was rediculous. They said a guy successfully installed bright red bulbs and the dash became maroone lighted. I'm going to try it by painting the bulbs red with high temp paint.
The reason there blue-green is because they order the face plates from Chevy, the Camaro division. The blue-green is made right into the plastic.
If it doesn't work its going back. Or, does anyone want to buy it. There's 43,000 miles on the OD. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
thank god you guys told me about it... i would of been completely shocked ... well i guess the 200 mph should still look better...
i thought there quality was great? heard some people saying that the light is brighter and much clearer???
Yes the light is much brighter and the 'red areas like redline on the tach, high / low areas on the other gauges show up much brighter along with the direction lights.
I know its not red, but I think once you get it in you will be happy. I talked to JR Granatelli and he said if there was enough interest, he would consider building a red backlight version of the 200 mph speedometer for the TA. last time I heard talked to him though he had a limited supply of the speedometers and was not planning on building more unless demand picked up
