I've heard a few stories of the backing on the face bubbling up and getting all distorted. I have no personal experience witht hem though. I would like to hear also. I like the white face 200MPH gauges but I doubt I will ever think of paying that much for them. They want like 3 bills don't they? I'd rather get a silver face set from HPA.

I've had the 200mph gauges for about 4 months now. No problems with lifting or anything else. I paid 225 for them from DMS that had a special going on (may still be going on I don't know). It took a week on the turn around with sending them the gauges and back. As far as I have been able to tell they are just as accurate as the factory gauges, which isn't saying much as I don't think the factory ones are that accurate.

Yea, I was looking at the grantelli page the other day and saw those. The only thing that stopped that impulse buy was the price, they want around $300.....wonder what a GP price would be if there was enough intrest

As soon as it was removed the bubbling went away. The guy who does it takes that off last so that he doesn't get fingerprints on the new overlay. One day he was in a hurry to make UPS and forgot to pull it off.

Hi new to this board, I went to Granatelli's Shop in SOuthern California in July to have the 200 MPH speedometer installed there. I have the factory black guage to keep stock look on my 2001 WS6 TA and it works perfect. I checked it coming back across country from California to Kansas City and it was just as accurate as the factory stock one. They use your ogiginal gauge cluster (thats why you mail it in) they replace the covering from the 150 mph to the 200 mph template. then they clip the factory computer chip and install their own chip and calibrate it I had mine set at 80 MPh for calibration. Had no problems at all with it. One thing is if you have a TA with red panel lights, your new speedometer setup will have the camero blue green color. I wasn't sure that I would like the different color but I am used to it versus all red back lights.

They did an excellent job with this product

I've had my Granatelli 200 mph white face gauges for about 5 months or so. They look and work perfectly. I paid 225 for them in a GP and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. How many of YOU guys can say you've seen 165 mph on YOUR speedo ? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

BTW the hpa gauges are just $150 stickers. Compare this to the complete gauge replacement and there is NO comparison .

I don't understand if they just change the overlay like the factory overlay why would the ta lights turn blue..I like the red ta lighting and if granatelli can't offer them in red then they can keep their pricey speedo conversion.they don't change the bulbs do they..makes no sense to me..the nr auto gauge overlay replacement..you take off your factory overlay looks good in day time but quality sucks at night..they are fuzzy and few spots on the lines where it is kind screwed.I should have just sent them back...might just go back to stock but a 200mph looks cool..
but camaro blue..not thanks..all the radio and everything else is red..

Mine should be here tomorrow. That thing is going back. I don't want the cluster to be a complete mismatch in my car.

Not sure how it happens, I watched their guy do the conversion at granatelli's. He does not change any bulb. something in the speedo face piece has the color in it for the lights. I guess its a tint or something. I talked to JR granatelli and he said that he did not have enough orders to justify the cost to manufature a red background light version for the TA. He could make them but the cost would be way higher until he recovered his development cost.

He told me about the color difference before I went to california to have it installed. I think once you get it installed you will like it even though the color isn't factory red lighting
