Jam, let me know when you are ready to get some of the other stuff coated... Thanks again...
Curing temps have nothing to do with the heat limitation of a powder. Most are anywhere from 50-150 degrees less than the curing temp. That's the point at which they will start to soften up and be easier to damage or more likely to loose their adhesion to the part, all you have to do is look at the powder manufacturer's label for the sustained service temp. In this case you are right, those tips will never see enough heat to even reach the softening point of the average powder.

But I'm sure you knew that since you are comfortable doing paying work on here without paying sponsorship fees like the rest of us who pay to support the site.

How will you attach them? welded? probably not clamps? how will you keep it looking sharp with a coating that has to be welded over? im just curious because i like the look of it and would like to look into it for myself, but im wondering how you will keep it looking cherry.

I haven't figured it out yet... right now I have an exhaust pipe w/ say a 2.75" or so external diameter that I snugged them into before hand.. as I sawzalled off my slp lm2 tips. Most likely going to clamp them.. I really don't care about scratching the back of them.

You can attach them with a band clamp or run a self tapping screw through both the tip and the tail pipe. It won't go any where.

It's real hard to capture them in pics, especially when the sun is going down, so tomorrow after I put on my stripes I'll take some more shots.
