Question SS grille emblem

What year SS do the white SS emblems on the billet grilles come from?

Also Stull says they no longer make the grille in black - suggestions on where else to get one?

Thanks.

I beleive the emblems are off of the 69 model years. You can get them from any restoration company including Year One. Man that kinda sucks that they don't offer the black grille anymore, personally its one of my favorite styles. I suppose you could try and find a used one or just get the regular billet grille and get it painted.

I've got a 1968 SS emblem on my grill I belive the angle on the 69 emblem is too sharp. Also I'd recommend having the grill powdercoated this will last longer than paint I've got a lot of rock chips on the SS emblem.

Thanks for the replies. Where and when did you get your grilles, maybe one of them still has one in stock?

Get the grille fron www.afterthoughtsauto.com

Get a '67 Chevelle bowtie emblem which has the correct angle to match the grille.
