i dunno if you were talking about mine or not. The nostrils are taller all the way through the hood. IF you look at mine you cant see my windshield wipers. The hood is about 4" through-out. Prob a good 1" taller then a ws6 hood. The ws6 hood seems to slim down as it goes back towards the windshield. The nostril GRILLS on my ws9 outlaw hood are the same ones that were on my ws6. I had no problems with the grills. Mine is a bolt on hood. I didnt wanna drill for hood pins. The hood is super light..a huge difference in weight from the gm ws6 hood. I love it.

Trufiber WS9 hood right here. Great company to deal with. The fitment is better than my stock hood and it didn't cost as much as purchasing it from US Exotics. And I believe Trufiber gained rights to use Rogers mold too.

I mean....why are you ruling out the Mecham hood. They are awesome hoods and they make our firebirds look real sleek and aggressive. It's worth saving up for one. I personally love WS9 hoods, so if you like them too then go for it.

i dont believe so. Unless it happened recently, which i doubt. VFN worked hand in hand with roger on the ws9 molds. Trufiber i believe isnt even made in the us. I thought i heard somewhere its made in china..then shipped over.

Chris
Superhawk looks like a raised Firehawk hood

Mecham (Version 2) hood is the one with the nostrils that stick far forward.
