Default !sun visors

well i'm getting my headliner recovered in black to go along with my black interior swap. i got to thinking, i never use my sun visors... i could probably just get the guy to cover over the holes and indentions and it'll look a lot cleaner. and i would have to track down black visors either. the only thing i'm worried about is how the front of the headliner's going to stay up because the visors kind of hold it up. could i just use some double sided tape or maybe even velcrow on the front? any advice would be appreciated. thanks.

also, this is a hardtop car.

I agree I never use mine and aving them gone would be a unique touch. I have a hardtop car and I think in this case it would be useful...Some good quality double sided tape and clean both surfaces good with some alcohol and your good to go!

dont have visors in mine. No sagging or anything. Also got rid of that button in the middle that t-top cars have. Almost 3 years ith no sag. Looks allot cleaner without that middle button and the visors.

Did you use tape or anything to keep the headliner up?

Mine have been out for years with no problems. Made some pieces to fill the holes from template. Traced the shape of the visor mount, got thin gauge sheet metal, cut out L side-R side, drilled holes, used black foam tape over both and cut to shape. Make sure the template is a little bigger than your traced line. Screwed them in with the visor screws.

I removed my visors, and no problems with my headliner at all. I plan on redoing my headliner, just trying to think of a clean way of covering the holes.

I recovered my entire headliner and just wrapped it over the holes. Its cleans things up a lot! And if i ever want to put them back in I can just cut holes through the headliner and install them easily

When i redid my headliner a few years ago i grabbed my ankles and spent $60 for the proper graphite color at year one. I got lucky and found a set of used hardtop visors in 08 for $30 so everything matches perfectly. My old visors were sun faded to ****.

here's how mine looks.
