well i went to the junk yard today to look for the fuel line i need, and found that, but while looking i also found a k&N CAI setup, and snagged it for $10, looks to be a lot nicer than the Moroso, so I'll prolly swap that out and sell one of the two, whichever fits better. also, bought my QA1 front coil overs from ddr698 in the classifieds today.
should have those in shortly, and will be ordering the ball joints and bushings i need for the upper and lower A arms.

stay tuned guys..

Okay, so I got my coilovers and got them installed in the car. Going to price ball joints, and bushings for the a arms on Monday. I still need to spray some under coating on yhr fender liners. So I'll be picking up undercoating, stripper, and some flat black to paint and install my stb aswell tomorrow.

Is there a preferred starting ride height level on those coil overs? Do they say start at 5" (guess) of coil underneath the perch to lower the car 1" - and then adjust from there?!?!

To be honest, I really have no idea. I know they have quite a but of drop, much more than that of the sportlines that were on the car previously. And they adjust with spanner wrenches, but I'm just going to get the whole suspension set up tied together, get it on the ground and then go to adjusting from that point foward. I can't wait to get the car on the ground either!

Well thanks alot man, although june 10th I turned 19, still then. It means alot, I honestly cannot wait to see what I'm building years down the road, this car has lots if plans in the future though, and I'm excited to see what happens.

Also, got my front springs and Moroso cai intake forsale in the classifieds guys. Check it out.

Still waiting on my speed Inc relocation bracket in order to get the motor all finished and ready to start. In the mean time I've gotten a few little things done. Got my stb stripped, sanded, primed, and painted flat black. Got it installed on the car also, but don't have any pictures because it's been raining lately. I also got my spindles cleaned up, sanded, primed and painted flat black. Here's a comparison picture between before and after. Although. They're both painted now.

I'll be ordering both upper and lower moog ball joints and new upper and lower a-arm bushings sometime this week so I can get those installed, painted and bolted on so I can get thr spindles mounted on those. Stay tuned.

Thank man, i appreciate it. it's coming along slowly but surely.
as far as lifting the car off the k-member/motor i used a 2 ton engine hoist that i bought from harbor freight, and wrapped a chain in an equilateral triangular fashion around the front frame rails. bottom two angles of the triangle being around the frame rails where the intake and battery tray go, and the top angle of the triangle being where the hoist hook went. when all said and done, with wheels sitting under my back tires, the back bumper was about 6" from touching the ground, and the front of the car/bumper support was 6' off the ground, i'm 5' 11', and i could walk under it in the front. then once i got it to the appropriate level to be able to roll the motor out from the car, i used cinder blocks and jack stands to keep the car sitting at this position, and let the hoist down and moved it out of the way. therefore pulling the motor out from under the car, hooking the hoist back up, moving the jack stands and cinder blocks, and lowering the car back onto level placed jack stands. this seems to be a much more in depth explanation that you probably needed, but so be it. hope this answers any questions you had. and if not, feel free to ask.

Okay, so I got my energy suspension poly bushings installed into my a-arms, got them painted flat black too. Installed upper and lower moog balljoints, and installed both a-arms on both sides, along with bolting the spindle to the balljoints, and bolting the coilovers to the a-arms. I still need to get sway bar bushings and endlinks, brake rotors, pads, and my stainless brake hoses ordered and installed and then the car will be back on wheels. Talked to Larry at speedinc, and Kevin at mymachinehead and I should have my relocation bracket by next week, then all that will be left to start this thing up will be fluids and my y pipe. It's coming along guys.

Nice work so far! What did you make the box out of? I'm planning on buying the subthump box for the same location.

Thanks, and as far as the box goes, it is an old subthump box that was originally a 10" box, and i cut a new face for the 8" sub for it. so it's a modified subthump box. it's also for sale here if you'd like to save a bit of money. and the box can easily be modified again to fit a 10".
