so today's venture was getting the motor out of the workroom it's been in, and into some garage space, off the stand and sitting on the k-member. and it's been accomplished.

next comes getting my clutch, and relocation bracket.
that way i can get the accessories mounted, and the transmission back on the motor. then soon to follow will be the front suspension components.

I actually made the block off plate out of some sheet metal. it does retain the heat, and that's why the two pipes are hanging out of it. i just used a some cardboard to make a template, and then cut it out of the metal once that was done. drilled some holes where the factory screws went, and viola.

ordered my clutch, and percy's header gaskets last night. should have the trans on the motor as soon as i get those things in. then i plan on putting the motor in the car without the a arms and stuff, and doing the front suspension once it's on the car. so maybe the motor will be in the car in 2-3 weeks.

in the mean time, i've gotten over $1000 for graduation, and the build should be moving on quite a bit quicker now.

at your age i was in your same boat man, had a 3 car garage to move around a little more but i still did 2 motor swaps in that garage. both cars are gone now but major props.

however, why get rid of A/C and EGR if you're wanting to maintain drivability. i figure you might have well put a hot-cam into the motor at a minimum (i did this to my 355 LT1). I wouldve kept the A/C at least. Summers without it were miserable.

Keep up the good work and make sure to take time routing those spark plug wires or if you can buy thunder racing's Over The Valve Cover kit, totally worth the cost. forge onward!
