Lookin good man. Like the SOM pieces, nice color combo with the black. Nice to see another young guy tackle his own car issues in the driveway. A few years back in highschool my neighbors probably hated me lol.

yeah, i got my engine stand from harbor freight along with a lot more other stuff. it's difficult cleaning everything every time the wind blows dust on it, but it'll def. be worth it in the end, i wish i had a garage!!!

anyways, i got a lot of the wiring done, relocating a lot of things so i pulled a lot of wires out of the loom on top and routed them under the motor for a completely hidden install of some of it. these picture show all the wiring that you'll see on the top of the motor once it's installed completely.

got my block off plates from the machine shop, $20. excellent.

also got most of the wiring taken care of, just gotta figure a lot of stuff out once it's in the car. installed spark plugs and an oil filter as well.

thanks man, yeah i mean i would, but i don't wanna daily a car with alot of performance mods and stuff. i'd much rather just build it to last a while, and once i get another car to daily drive, pull this one back apart over a period of time, and go to town on it with a h/c setup.

okay guys, so it's been a while since I've updated anything really. its been a time to get a little bit more money to spend on the build, but I've got a lot of stuff done i guess. I ordered and installed/painted my new AC delco water pump, and Distributor. Hardest $572 i ever made myself spend, haha. anyways, they look good. I also got all my vacuum lines installed for the entire motor except for the brake booster hose, and of course the hvac vacuum line, everything else is installed, and tied up nice and tight. i also did a little work on the bay, removed the ac box thing, and made a plate to go over it, it still needs some paint though.

here are some pictures..

engine bay looks so much better and much more spacious without that huge *** box.

My tall style 3 11/16" tall polished aluminum ball milled valve covers should be here tomorrow or first thing next week. I'll be running the speed inc. Alt and Power steering relocation kit also, so it'll look snazzy.

be lookin out for some updates sooner or later.

Deleting A/C in Texas? Brave. Here in South Mississippi I would never do that! But props on a very clean LT1 build!

yeah, well when i bought the car, the motor was replaced, and the a/c was never hooked up, so i'm not even sure if the compressor works or not, plus when dis-assembly of the car i found that one of the ac lines has a gash cut right through it, and those lines are not cheap, so in that matter of the situation, i decided to ditch the a/c rather than spend a **** load more money on getting it to work. On the top side of things, i don't plan on dailying the car for very long anyways, and by the time i'm finished with it, it will be finished with the summer months...

thanks for the compliments man!

yeah man, it makes a hell of a difference, i mean... this is rattle canned, so its by far not as good looking as a real paint job, and i wish i had the money and resources to do that right now, but it's just not a real priority. I'll most likely tear it down in a few years, shave everything in the engine bay and get it sprayed professionally. but only time will tell, as for the mean time, this will get her done.

I do have those two major A/C lines for an LT1 that go back to the box in the dash.
