I want to do this right. I am going to replace the dash. That leaves one question for those who might know...
My car is a '98. What dashes are compatible with the '98? I know the dashes themselves will work, but compatibility of the airbag is my concern. What dashes will work?

are we talking dash from a different model car (circa slammed1500)?

Sorry, I could see how it came across that way! Nope, sticking with the Firebird dash. I believe the actual dash was the same from '97+, but the electronics are what I am worried about. Also, is there any company that would sell these new? I am more than a little pissed off that GM discontinued a high wear part like this. Way to hang us out to dry.

Wow, I'm a little drunk, but right now that is really funny. "out to dry." I get the feeling that won't be as funny in the morning!

hahaha, maybe not at all.

pretty entertaining though. im at the beginning of my drink.

i hope someone has some info there though, my pads definitely in worse shape than yours. if i cant do anything with the airbag idk if ill do my dash at all
