hopefully the sun won't ruin this with it expanding and contracting with temperature change. i'm feeling everything but the mention of "micro suede." it seems like a bad idea for a dash. but i guess we'll see.

That's why I am wrapping it instead of painting it. Should the dash expand/contract it wont be as noticeable under fabric. I might also use a very thin piece of foam under the fabric to minimize any noticeable distortion in the fabric.

I'm just waiting for the suede to come in. I already have my headliner and dash pad wrapped with no problems so far. My seats are corbeau microsuede and my door panels will be microsuede as well.

In case anyone was wondering why I got rid of my glove box, I have a cage and could only open it 4-5" before it hit the door bar.

Cool idea!!! I see from your location that you don't need to worry bout that A/C too much up there in PA. Man that would make my TA roast down here in Houston during the summer months.

Any pics of your other stuff?

Id like to see the dash wrapped...

I am thinking about wrapping my interior panels, dash, doors, and seat centers, in alancantra.

But I wasn't sure how it would look.

Leather vs vinyl...

PUNISHER TA - been thinking the same google Ultrasuede, which is a brand name OEM use along with Alcantara or try Microsuede which is a cheaper alternative

So I took it to my upholstery shop and the guy said it was not smooth enough. I hit it with the DA and the vibrations knocked the glove box loose. I then used a thicker fiberglass mat to reinforce the glove box and it is not moving now! After another coat of bondo and some more sanding I think it is almost ready!

Some updated pics: take into account the upper dash pad is suede as well as the lower area under the steering wheel, seats, headliner and door panels

looks dope. when you wrap the upper instrument panel are you going to be fiberglassing that as well, to give it added strength ?
