I don't have Zaino yet either. I won a selection of Meguiars products, including Meguiars Gold Class wax, in a raffle. So, I have been using it for about 2 months now.

I put a coat of Gold Class on my 02 SS every time I wash the car. I think more coats are better, because wax does not hold up as well as Zaino under daily driving conditions in the rain, etc.

I would say no more than 2 but 2 should work well...hurry up and get some Zaino...its 10x better than meguires gold class. Good Luck

I wouldn't layer more than 3 coats per week.

After about 5 coats the shine won't really improve from any extra layers.

1 is fine. Wax does not layer. Every time you put a new coat on it just combines with the old wax.

Cleaner wax is only good for 1 or 2 layers.

If the wax has had proper time to cure then a second layer will def help. The physical results will show this to be true, a better shine doesn't lie.

Be careful to not overdo it. My local body shop said the paint needs to breathe, and the a carnuba liquid wax was the best. I've used the Wax Shop wax for as long as I can remember, and I simply love it!

I tried Gold Class right after I bought my 'bird new, and I thought it sucked. I had one heck of a time trying to buff it off the car. But that's just me.....I'm a Wax Shop user for life!

Some higher quality "pure" carnauba waxes can be layered. Waxes suxh as Zymol Estate Glazes and Pinnacle Souveran. True, it is probably a combination of increasing the film thickness density/adding another "layer". Nonetheless - if you are using a good ivory carnauba wax, it will not yellow as more coats are applied and it can often times offer increased depth as layers are added - I know on my black Firehawk it surely does....
