newbie with the front grille????
As far are repairing the paint, it all depends on the extent of the damage. If you see primer, then it needs to be repainted or you can patch it up with touch up paint and try to level it out with high grit sand paper (1500,2000) and a fine cut rubbing compound. If its a minor scuff then you might be able to sand with a high grit sand paper and/or hand buff it out with a fine cut rubbing compound like 3M FinesseIt 2 (I think thats what its called). If it is light, try the rubbing compound first.

Another option is to omit the black plastic grill altogether since the area behind it is painted body color and also says "Camaro". Many on here have either just removed the grill or replaced it with an aftermarket piece. I have no experience with this since my car is a 2001 Formula. You can find plenty of info on this site.
