Default side molding question

This is my problem

Should I just try and glue the piece back on and have a funky looking side molding?
Or delete the molding altogether? I would like to delete the molding but am worried the paint will not match up since its a 1994 with ~120k on the clock.

Suggestions please!

remove it all! i guarantee (unless the car has been repainted without removing the moldings) you will have NO problems at all with the paint not matching up.

go for it. it looks much cleaner.

out of curiosity, how did you do this? were you planning on removing it, and then had after thoughts? or was this an accident?

I too say rip that **** off. Mine had been repainted and I didn't know it and you can BARELY see a difference in the old/new clearcoat.

Thanks for the input guys. I have no clue how it happened. Walked out to my car this morning and noticed it. Asked if someone hit it w/ their door and they said no. You can see where the molding is still intact it kinda buckles out a bit so maybe it was just on its way off or something

Take it off, it would never look the same if you tried to restick it. I'd bet it happened the last time your door got opened and it caught the fender causing the moulding to peel up.
