Too bad....$360 for the set shipped was a deal!.....I should've gotten some......
what do they look like, anyone have a pic

They do give the rear a nice look but in many cases people don't even notice the difference, if Dave could still have gotten them for that price it might be worth thinking about.
Here's picture of Steve2000SS car.

Had black out tail light covers and they melted both tail lights. I realy want the export tail lights. If they are a GM part why are they so hard to get. Does anyone no where to get them or a part number.

They are hard to get because GM only supplied them to Japan for Camaros shipped between 1993-95, 3 years, Japan got the Tri-colored tail lights that we have now one year earlier, the reason these were made in the first place was to apease Japanese law of requiring tri-colored tailights back then while state side we were sporting the all Red and White one's (kinda sucks if you think about it, theses were more "traditional" than the all Red and white ones in my opinion), although I did like "our" originals, if given the choice, and could turn back time, I'd say go for the exports....they kick ***.....however, in GM's wisdom, they picked the Red and Whites and now have unknowingly created this hole in the parts division as they don't produce them anymore.....in there defense, I dont know if the law here does require US cars to have a Red outside part of the tail light viewable from the side, I might of heard of that once, and that may be true, but if it is not then GM messed up another oppertunity IMO.......sorry so long.....

The Firebird does not, it has a side mounted reflector, im 99% sure the camaro does as well.
The Tri color is the reason for the camaro to have them first overseas. Its the law.
The tri-color and small supply is not just a GM thing, the mustang 94-98 bodystle export lights go for huge money as well. Where the new ones are easily found, because they're now stock on the 99-01 cobras. (but not 03s)

us laws require a red reflector visible from the side of the car, many manufactures use wrap around taillights to get this reflector.

Had access to a set, $450 cash, but that was more than i was going to pay, on a car i didnt own. lol.
Good luck
