I think it's the edges not being rounded is what makes the rake look dramatic. I did a quick ms paint chop and rounded the edges on the front bumper and flared out the bottom rear qtr panel and rear bumper. Now this kit I would buy... Amazing work by the way.

You are correct. That is part of the design, and hands down, an optical illusion...

I'm reposting this...

Non-wide body it will still look great. The pics are misleading but you have to understand the way we designed it to understand it will work for both.

We actually took our splitter and front canard package and molded them into the stock bumper. Now, it sounds WAY easier than what McNord actually went through as it wasn't like he bolted on and blended in.

He had to cut so that the bottom of the STOCK bumper STAYS THE SAME BOTTOM. In other words, it LOOKS lower because it doesn't round under but it is really not.

That being said, it looks wider BUT IT IS NOT. It just does not taper in, the width is the same, it just doesn't taper in and show tire.

IF IT WAS WIDER, you would see a recessed tire and you don't. Here's the same splitter and canards used on my non-widebody car to give you an idea...

See? All we did was get rid of the concave feature on the sides and the rounded under feature on the bottom.

Same dimensions as stock but the illusion of width and a lower car

^^Basically, the stock looks higher and less raked because it rounds under. A splitter only adds 1/4" to the car BUT makes it look a LOT lower.

The McNord bumper DOESN'T EVEN ADD 1/4" to the bottom as he DID NOT bolt the splitter on, he cut it and added it to the FRONT of the bumper.

Stock bottom is the same as our bottom. We just don't round it off on the edges so it LOOKS lower and we don't round it off near the tires to make it a true aerodynamically functioning piece (I HATE the 90's looking rolled edges of these cars, we're working on a GFX piece to get rid of that hideous rolled rocker panel as well)...

A little eye candy (to give you ideas of it painted on different color cars)...
