Default detail supplies

Hey guys, I have decided to tackle the swirls and marring in my trans-am paint. I am looking to buy a kit from autogeek with the pc 7424xp. I dont know what to get chemical wise. I have hologramming and alot of small scratches and just overall dull paint appearance. I am not sure if Menzerna or the pinnacle XMT i think its called or what to use and will give me the results I am looking for. I also want to stock my garage with the correct pieces to properly wash the car, clean the rims and tires, and clean the glass back to what it should be. Could someone give me a list of what is the best to use. I have seen ONR and all the other code names that people use that I'm not familiar with. I want to make sure that I have top quality towels to dry and polish and everything else with. Sorry if I am rambling but I just want to make it a one stop shop. So if you guys could help me out that would be great. Thanks for reading

Mike

M105/M205 is a great combo. Good wax on top of that will protect the paint. Get some good microfiber towels for drying, polishing, etc. Sent you a PM also.

so what do you guys use to wash before all the polishing, and what towels? I went to Zaino's site and they said that microfiber should not be used because it scratches. Can anyone give me a walkthrough, or is there a guide posted here on the steps to do and what exactly was used? I checked the showroomfx website and there are not pictures of anything and I found it real hard to know what was actually trying to be sold without any pics. Also I dont see any kits on that site that include polishes and what not.

Mike,
Sent you a PM back. Sorry, it got long. I can put a package together for you. I used to have 3-4 pre-made packages but everyone wants something a little different. I can get a "starter" kit together for you. I carry alot of products from the buffers, polish/wax down to the towels and applicators.

welcome to the wonderful world of black paint, as far as drying I use an absorber or blower when possible, microfiber is vary safe and i would think the safest to dry your car with, but you need good quality towels. i use mz sip with a yellow pad, the tropi care with a blue pad and then wax with white pad. if you are doing a full polish the paint process, plan on spending 6 to 8 hours with the pc and you should come out great, good luk and keep us posted!

Keep it simple to begin with an expand as needed.

M105/205 is a user-friendly and effective combination - orange LC pad and white LC pad.

Quality waffle weave towels for drying, short nap microfiber for removing polishes and waxes, and thick, plush microfiber for quick detailers.
