I hate to say it but looks cool I need like 870 pieces. I'm saving for a lift at the moment. Come on Lottery.

I just finished the outside of my new workshop I still have lots to do inside before I can tackle the floor.

Yes I built it and yes I'm showing off.

A one year old thread brought back from the dead!

Yep, Red you got one nice stable there. I sure wish my new garage was that tall. The previous owner made it rather short for a lift, but I'll figure a way.

Race-deck neat stuff, looks cool, but I'll tell the truth now that I've had it for a year - and now that I am in a new house - I do not like it for a "working" garage floor. For nice looks and showcase, the stuff is great. But when it comes down to working on it, it well - sucks. The wheels of the floor jack get stuck in the diamond plate pattern, and actually make it dangerous trying to get teh car onto jack stands. Kneeling on it is extremely painful. So the floor has been relocated, to "around" the cars. The new garage is 1 3/4 cars deep and 3 cars wide, with a two car garage door, so the floor has been relegated to areas where the work bench and storage goes. The floor unser the cars, is painted concrete.

So if you want to "floor" your garage I'm back to suggesting 12" x 12" VCT from Home Depot or epoxy paint.

You need 10' with two camaro's for a stack lift you gotta be able to release the locks.

Andy, I modified ( verey easy ) four of the trusses in my building so I could get a full lift from my hoist, if you want any help in doing it just let me know and I'll drive down there and give you a hand.

Beer and power tools bad combination cuz it really slows down production.

Yep. - and hey they aren't that old.

Rich, sometimes I think I keep the garage nicer than the rest of the house!

Hey Al, thanks for the offer. I may have to take you up on that offer I know that I can modify the roof framing to get a lift in, just not very high on the list of things to do. Just very happy that all my cars now have a roof over their heads, the daily driver now has its own privated garage.

Red, thanks for the info on the lift - true on the beer and tools thing . . but they seem to almost go hand in hand. . . . The two hour project that took 10 hours!
