Default Clear Conners

Has anyone had trouble with moisture and water getting into their Clear Conner’s due to warpage of the park lights on at all time? If so is there any fix or suggestions? Thanks!!!

You could try using silcone around the seam, did you reinstall the factory gaskets onto the new lenses? If you just got them I'd see about returning them for another pair, good luck.

I have had the clear corner lenses for over a year now and I have had no problems with my lenses.

No moisture yet and I have changed both of my light bulbs about 6 months ago. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

I used to have bad probs with this....infact you could say i actually accumulated puddles of moisture in their...I have the answer!

I went throught bulb after bulb being burnt out because of moisture...and i HATE driving down the road with a burnt out driving light.

the fix: take them out, and drill a small hole on the inside bottom...I actually drilled 3 holes in each one.....make sure that you get in that bottom corner (they slant)...right in the middle of the corner.....it works.....you obviously can not see the holes drilled....I have not had a single drop of moisture, or a burnt bulb since I have done this.....back in may.

Hope this helps.

I have the same problem. I though that I might have broken the seal on them or something or cracked them when installing them. I guess not. I will be doing the drilling. Thanks alot.

chrswr5,

Do you have any pics of where exactly you made the holes? I have a passenger Clear that is constantly having a problem with moisture in the corner where the smallest bulb is closest to the fender.

I've tried filing down the warpage and used RTV to seal the rubber sealts on and still get water in there.. It's amazing <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

Now.. If only I could subscribe and be email notified of this Post! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I also drilled a hole in the middle and at the other end...for maximum drainage...

Hope I have helped.

Take it for what it's worth, but I have heard pouring rubbing alcohol in the bezel and letting it air dry out prevents condinsation as well...
