Made some brackets out of aluminum and attached them to the the frame rails where the orig exhaust hangers went. I just need some longer "plastic rivets" or push-fasteners to secure the diffuser to the bumper.

Driver side bracket:

Passenger side bracket:

I plan to extend those brackets literally through the diffuser and drill a bunch of holes so you can slide the diffuser up and down, changing the angle.

Right now it is dumped before the axle. I am building a 4" over axle exhaust which will dump right after it bends over the axle and before the diffuser

Well I finally had a chance to take it up to 90mph. Car feels very stable at speed. It seems from 65+ it almost pushes the car forward.

Ive always wanted to do this with my T/A...except I imagined it coming from the gas tank, under the muffler and right after the muffler bending up to the rear bumper, then having a couple fins that are the height diff of from the muffler to the back bumper. And have it even across the entire back bumper and under the tips to "enclose" them in, like some AMG mercedes, Bentleys and so on and so forth have. Anyone good at photoshop? lol

Your fab looks really good though. This thread is about 7 months old, anything new?

Will be a stock LQ9 with .030 milled L92 heads, LS3 intake and a healthy cam. Build will start as soon as my LT1 sells!

Yup!! Dont worry, I'm dropping a fuel cell in the trunk and putting a borla xr-1 race muffler with 4" piping in place of the stock fuel tank. The diffuser will tie everything in very nicely! Pics to come when the engine build starts!

Adding a spoiler like one from LG or ACP would solve that problem. The parachute effect you're speaking about that we have from the factory actually helps keep the rear end planted by catching air in there; the opposite of what you will be doing with a diffuser..
not at all in this situation.. When the air under the car speed's up it helps create a lower pressure which sucks the car to the ground.

Quick Reply: project diffuser... if you've made one, come on in!
