Burned out/busted blinker
I have had to replace my passenger side front blinker bulb 4 times now. Each time it either explodes or burns out. The socket it brown kinda burnt looking. What could be the problem. I have clear corners on, that wouldn't have anything to do with it would it? I need some help if you can give it to me. I am tired or replaceing bulbs. Thanks.

Re: Burned out/busted blinker
No water is getting in there that I know of. There is no cloudiness or condensation in the "housing" that I can see. It was suggested that I try to clean the socket really good. So I will try that.

Re: Burned out/busted blinker
I have to bring up the water issue again....that really what it sounds like....maybe some water gets in there after you wash your car....the burnt look your talking about is what I was getting because my clear corners were leaking. Keep an eye one it...If you notice you you do accumulate water then click on this link for a thread with help on that issue.

Re: Burned out/busted blinker
I'll tell ya one thing. This corner park light lenses on a TA can be a MOTHER of a %^$@#^#$!#$%^#!^#$%#$^#$^#!$%^#$%#@$%!#@$%!#$^^. I mean I cannot keep condensation out of mine!!! It has gotten soooo bad that my connectors have started RUSTING!!! I'be been through about 50 bucks worth of bulbs! My next choice is to find a TA in a JUNK yard and get the whole assembly with the connectors and just go from there. I'm gunna seal em up REALLY good.

Go to Autozone and ask for blinker fluid. You're probably running low.
Sorry, couldn't resist. A girl I know fell for that back in high school. She looked for 30 mins at Kmart for blinker fluid instead of a fuse.
On a serious note, I think it's water causing it. Lots of people have had problems with moisture building up in their clear corners. I haven't had any problems with my clears.
