I have some wagon wheels on my Z28. They aren't black, but I did the "makeover" kit on them. I like 'em.

wagon wheels people, wagon wheels... had to do spacers on the rear because of rubbing, tire kingdom is full of idiots, and therefore had to get the nuts with the long neck that slide down into the wheel further, gripping more threads bc of the spacers. i didnt like the center cap, thought about trimming it to fit. i have also since painted the center hubs black to match, and it blends in well. though eventually im still looking for a custom shop to make center caps. painted with black appliance epoxy paint.

Agreed, that is one of the very few cars I thought looked good with them. I still think there are a million better options though

Not trying to thread jack, but did you have to roll the fender lip when you did that? I've got some decent size rear tires on mine and I beat the living crap out of the fender well to get em to fit. I even have an adjustable phb and I still can hear the wheels rub when the rear gets tweaked at certain angles.

Thanks! I didn't originally opt for these wagon wheels, but that's what came with my car when I purchased it so I've had to make it work, haha! I was doing some searches on what to do with them to spice them up a bit and then I came across Southern Car Parts and their makeover kit and took a chance with it. Most people that see my wheels now are usually surprised at how much better the wheels look with something to break up the thickness of the spokes. If you look into the makeover kits, they are for the staggered setup of 18's and 17's. I had 18's on all corners so I took the kit to a vinyl shop and had them cut me like 20 extras in the larger size for around $10 and they all match up perfectly.

thanks all, i appreciate it. i got them with old tires for 300, couldnt beat it for a college kid. painted myself. i also like the staggered 17-18" look. however i would love a set of year one's snowflakes, with black inserts of course.

the silver wagons's - i didnt even know they were until the second look, black inserts work well!!

-to answer questions, under hard cornering yes i can get them to rub the quarter panel, id like to roll the fender lip. they also rubbed some on the driver inside. i think someday i will BFH the inner fender, and i know i need to tweak my adj. panhard bar some.(anyone know stock length? bolt to bolt or however) they are only 275's in the rear, people with 315's boggles my mind. originally i had 295's on the rim, they looked sick cause it bulged over the rim, but definitely rubbed more often, like every corner. it also sits on the bmr springs. i have had compliments on the dyno that these wheels also look very good when they spin up, surprisingly enough. i think if i get the PHB in alignment i should be able to get rid of the spacers.

also, had someone tell me they are actually lighter than the stock 16" 'ers, so yay.

** cleaning a painted rim took some experimentation, dont use anything you can buy at the store, seems to dull and bubble even cleaners made for painted rims. ive found fantastik, sprayed on, let sit, works well, though im always looking for better... but thats another thread.

There's lots of good stuff down here. If you guys really like good food, there's a lot of great restaurants down here, mostly off of the riverwalk. PM me with what you guys like to eat and I'll give you some good names. I grew up in Arlington(right outside of Dallas), there's a bunch to do out there too!

I've got 295's on mine, lowered on cut stock springs. And yes, I did have to BFH the inner fenders like a **** to make sure they didn't rub!
