As for the sunoco being played out... its about as played out as the CME. its something you will rarely ever see in person, if ever, yet it SEEMS like everyone has one, because if you come here to this section of the forum enough, you hear every time someone gets one on their car, or posts up pictures of their car with it.
haha thats right! and its my buddys car now.. too bad the dumb *** before him destroyed that hood

I went with an Ultra-z hood, it's different and some people hate it...but I like it. It's all up to you.

Here's another option for an aftermarket hood....

https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...od-thread.html

Not much ppl use it but its something different. I like it for being something different but the Sunoco and a Harwood style hood would be nice as well.

I kinda like it too! I wish the pic of the white car had top and top/corner angle pictures though.

when i throw a hood on my Z28 im looking at that 2.5 harwood hood or the Sunoco with the line!

who gives a **** if its played out!! there arent that many options for our 4th gens.. go with the hood that you like. plus you can also make your car look sick with a stock Z28 hood.

How is it functional?

It has the appearance of just letting air in over the engine bay, it isn't blowing into the intake? I guess it just keeps the engine cooler that way. I think it would also let a BUNCH of dirt, dust and **** get all over your engine....

I have the sunoco extra wide on mine.... And I LOVE the way it looks. It is a little tall to see over/around, but it will he needed once I get the s/c setup on with the carb intake. Look at the pics in the link in my sig

Another vote for Sunoco. Around the Bay Area, I've only seen 1 Camaro with the hood.
