Default tail/third brake light combo opinions

so im diggin thru e bay come across these led third brake lights

its a white 99 z28. what r your thoughts on how they will look?? i should also mention i have black housing anzo halo headlights and black parking lights

what tail lights? stock?

if you want the led 3rd brake light, go for it

I'm not a huge fan of the lights, but you gotta get what you like and want for your car.

yea the tails arent great but for 60$ shipped a deal i was thinking of taking em apart and modifying them with 2 silver square cut led panels i can make for the inner 2 lights (rev and brake i think but that'd be way down the road

not sure if you've ever tried before, but taking the tails apart is not so easy.


i've tried... i've failed. lost a perfectly good light in the process

these are interesting too dunno if i actualy like em tho

i wish some 1 make a black housing tail with lights that actualy had the same shape as the 2010 camaro tails w a silver / chrome ring that would be perfect

yea its a pain. even more so with oem but most aftermarket uses basically the same thing as a RTV silicone

Usually some heat, some patience, a hobby knife. and some compressed air (using rag to help create seal in light socket) to help push the lense off it'll come off easy. ive pulled apart a bunch of light housings and only broke 1. hardest part is getting a complete seal. a bead of fast drying contact cement. followed by a thin bead of silicone around the edges and a vaccum to the light sockets while the others are taped off can usually do it

personally i would say leave it all stock looking back there and im guessing your car is artic white so id go semi gloss berger with white inserts with a SS spoiler and a set of good lookin exhaust tips and be done

yep blackouts black berger n white letters i did get the led third brake light tho
