WOoHOo! Sub Box Completed. Not too shabby.
I finished my sub box yesterday, and I might ad it looks prety sweet too. I have to give credit tosubthump.com and all those whose pics I found while searching for boxes for the F-Body. Personaly I dont consider myself a handyman, but I hate giving my money away for something I can make myself. Seeing the box outside the vehicle gave the appearance of nothing more then just that, "A Box". So I set forth on a mission to make my own. I have to admit, it was rather easy. About 40 bucks in materials, a circular saw, and a jig saw, is about all I used. Tape measure, some caulk, paper and pencil too of course.
I know, your thinking... yea but what are you gonna do inthe summer months with the T-Tops? Well, since this was my first shot at doing this I didnt wanna get fancy and make things any more difficult then they might already be. So I constructed the simple box, as I call it. In the spring I plan on makeing a new one with the ability to store the tops, as well as several other features. Guess you'll have to tune in in the spring to find out more.
Personaly I think this one turned out prety damn good. Took me about 6-7 hours of construction. A couple days to find the vinyl and fabric, wire, and plugs but they werent hard to locate. Spent about another 3 hours total in covering it. So all in all theres about 10 hours in the project. Needless to say, the next one should go a little faster. You can check it out here.

If anyone considering building one, and would like some pointers dont hesitate to ask. Theres a few good tips I can offer to make things go smooth for ya.

Looks good, but everyone isn't that well inclined in such areas. That's why some of us don't mind paying others to do it.

Man, GOOD job. I wanted to do something similar since I took my rear seat out. If you guys have any ideas, let me know. Im not looking for speakers, just something to clean up where the rear seats were!
