custom LS3 fuel rail covers
These are for a car we are building at work, and since it is a LS3 based motor I figured I would share them with all of you LS junkies on here. These are handmade from .040 aluminum. I only have the one finished so far, I have to do some fuel rail modifications on the other side.

painted or powder. The cars we build aren't usually covered in polished and chrome pieces. Depends on how they both turn out on whether we can just get them powdered or will have to have minor bodywork to look perfect.

makes it look like an OHC motor or something. could be interesting though.
but if you had good billet rails, braided lines, and anodized fittings you wouldn't want to cover them up. in my opinion that is.

Yeah, it is actually a TT setup for a C5 corvette that we flipped upside down on this application. Should make pretty good power with a built for boost 416 CI LS3. Turbos are kind of small, but it is what the company sent. He said the same system made 930 or so HP on a 400 CI motor in a C5.
Car is a Factory Five GTM supercar that we have heavily modified. At 2500 pounds and 900+ HP it should be a rocket.
Ha Ha, yeah, every single opening on the motor, fuel tanks, intercoolers and such are all taped shut during mockup. Don't want any foreign material getting in there.

Its a mid-engine car, so there's a porsche g50 5-speed transaxle in the back. With the custom gearing we chose, It should be able to push to over 200 mph. It will have the power, but aero is always a question at those speeds.
