Does the s2000 still use the key? It does, right?

I want to see someone do the keyless like the altimas. That would be sick. Just carry the fob... no key to start it, just the pushbutton that is activated by the proximity of the fob.

Yeah you can set it up to turn the key and start the car from the button or still start the car with the key. Not sure if anyone has been able to do what the Vette's do with the key fob in the proximity.

Yep s2000 still uses a key.
When you put the key in ignition, remember its also unlocking the steering wheel. Newer cars like the altima have that built in.

A guy on g35 forums swapped the whole steering column and ignition system from a g37 and its worked for him. Of course its tons of work.

it would be cool if you could just put a secondary hidden switch somewhere that you have to flip in order to use the start button.

I have that same switch in my car.. you still need to use the key half way then hit the button it has that cool factor but is kinda pointless.. I actually disconnected mine a few years ago but still have the switch there.. Don't ask me why I disconnected it, i am still wondering why to this day haha

For those of you looking to do the install here is the document I used along time ago - http://www.bowlingss.com/Mods/Instal...e%20Switch.mht

you can find the switches on Ebay, here is an example - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=400035249321

This company makes keyless ignition kits, just like altima corvette mercedes etc, just carry the little thing and when you get close to your car it unlocks, they also include a push button start but you can use the s2000, which is the best looking one anyway.
