Default Interior without carpet pics

Anyone have pictures of their interior without carpet?
I'm considering taking mine out because water got in the
car and now the carpet smells terrible. Is there any drawbacks
of not having carpet? Is it a lot louder?
Thanks for the help.

Hey man. I don't have any pics but a friend of mine has a Firebird without a carpet. It doesn't look too bad, it's just the floors painted whatever color your car is. There's some wiring here and there but nothing overwhelming.

Throw down some floormats so you have something there if you do it.

Never thought of a f Body with no carpet. . . . . .

But, I am considering taking out the carpet out of the Wrangler I am working on. . . But, I would spray it with truck bed liner.

It will turn into a terrible echo-chamber. I would pull the carpet and just clean it up as good as possible, then re-install.

Take the carpet out, remove the "jute" padding if any and throw padding away, get new padding or dyno mat, put cleaned carpet back in, odor should be gone now...

I did that and it lasted about a week before I ordered carpet....it was SOOOOOO fricken loud and the floor boards would get so hot you couldnt stand it. I am betting a F-Body would be the same way.

Hmmm, ****. . . good point. I did not think of the heat issue. It does get smoky under the hood of this thing.

****, I guess I will keep the carpet in it. The carpet looks half decent still too. Just thought the truck bedliner would be bad ***. Just wash the **** out when you are done romping

ive been driving my car for awhile now with the carpet out. ive been derusting/painting/sound deading my entire interior, and its abit noiser but its not that bad. id suggest pulling the carpet. taking care of the rust. and putting it back.

take the carpet out. get a bottle or two of simple green. get lemon scent if you want it to smell nicer. spray the **** out of it with the simple green till its soaked. get a hard scrub brush. get the carpet wet and scrub the **** out of it. then bring it to a car wash and pressure wash the carpet till all the dirt is gone out of it. that will do the trick. i use simple green when cleaning carpets with the carpets inside the car. and it works amazing. then just leave the carpet out hanging on something in the sun for it to dry completly.

I saw a thread on here where a guy took his old carpets out and laid them out and sprayed them with water mixed with black fabric dye and let it soak in. They looked almost new when he was done.
