We can place the illuminated areas wherever you want, but if you want something past a certain size, it will require more materials. If you want them to turn on when a door is opened, that can be done by wiring them into the door plunger, or dome light. I can't give out specific instructions for every car, so I'm going with the typical ignition on, 12V source for simplicity.

Those of you who are creative can wire them any way you'd like. I'd personally wire mine into the dome light.

As far as glare, these do not shine like an LED does and they do not have a glaring angle that can be annoying. This light source has a cool, natural glow that is 100% consistent.

We only need a week ot two of more R&D here to get the colors down.
We expect that we will be able to do many different colors.

Thanks, Roger

Absolutely.
Should have a working set by Tuesday.
These will be for sale very soon.
We are going to take these sills in brushed material:

and apply the lighting.

Thanks, Roger

Ok Guys/Gals, I am posting this to hopefully answer a lot of questions.

Lots of questions whether it can say "this or that."
I will try to answer this the simplest way I can.
We can put ANYTHING you guys want on them. This is what we do, make custom items. This is our distinct advantage over other companies who want to sell you their stock inventory. We make it your way, sort of like Burger King.
GM logos will be, but are not approved yet. However, we have the capability make it say anything!
I see a lot of posts stating "if it said this, or if it said that": Well, they can say "this or that." Trust me.
Hopefully this answers some of these questions. These are going to be customizeable, Just like our dash plaques. Text your way, Fonts you want, Colors we are deciding on this week, Even the area where we have the checkers will be able to have anything you want etched.
We will be selling these for 93-02 Camaros, Trans Ams, Corvettes, and 2010 Camaros to start.
When we begin selling them, you just tell me what you want on them. No problem.

Thanks, Roger

Id like to recommend a color option. The standard pontiac orange/red guage color. If you can get them to light up that color, youd have at least one customer buy them

How weatherproof will these be? Its no secret that the way our window angle leaves part of the seat and further out exposed so when it rains, stuff gets wet.
