Not bad for $150. New spoiler.
Well, not quite, the lip is a little more pronounced and it is curved top and bottom, making it a little taller, but that's fine. I seem to recall some company making spoilers like this, that were similar to the 97 SS but different... Who was it? Mecham?Pardon the cell phone pics, and terribly filthy car. They just put a fresh layer of tar and limestone gravel on the road (country road), so there is a ton of limestone dust. And anyone with an fbody knows how the rear bumper loves collecting that dust. Plus add the rain we've had recently, and how I drive 110+ miles a day... Yeah. Wash it, drive down the road, and boom it looks the same again. Losing battle until the fresh limestone dust on the road settles down.

It needs a little minor work as it is raw fiberglass. I think it fits pretty well, it sits right in the slots and everything. It is amazing how light it is compared to the stock spoiler.
I'm keeping my stock spoiler on the car for now, this one won't go on it until the body work is done and the car repainted.
I was thinking of maybe having the body guy make the curve a little more gradual from the side view, instead of flat then steeply curving upward. What do you think? Comments?

Maybe it is an earlier mecham design, like you said. I knew somebody made a spoiler similar to this.
However, like a lot of other bits and pieces I have for the car, nothing will be installed or painted for a few months, at which point it will go into the shop to have rust removed, the quarter and nose repaired, and repainted top to bottom. It'll look pretty good then... in need of wheels, bad, but that I won't be able to afford until next year most likely.
