baffle pop rivots behind ram air....(Ws6)
Ok, im removing the baffle (the big long one nearest air box)and i wanted to know if anyone has done this... its a 01 Ws6 and there are 8 rivots i need to remove.. I was wondering if anyone has the best way to remove the rivots.
Also... has anyone else removed this baffle or both sets of baffles? was it worth the extra intake or just a pain in azz in the rainy weather?
Thanks in advance

A small drillbit smaller than the rivet head works best. Removing the baffles makes a definite improvement but you gotta come up with a rain blocking device if you are removing all three baffles like I did. You can see what I did in my link below. I removed all the baffles and installed BG TEF's and rubber grommets. I then made and also sell the foam seal that seals the back of the hood to the airbox. Then for rain, I made plexiglass shields that clip onto the nostril screens. There is enough air supply for regular driving in the rain if you remove the (2) large BG rubber grommets or just leave them off all the time (these are the factory water drain holes under the ram air).

1/8th inch drill bit.. takes all of 2 minutes to get it out. I did that as soon as I pulled in the garage after I got home from the dealership.

What they said. A drill bit slightly larger then the inner diameter of the rivet will do the trick. One of the baffles is also glued in.
