I just purchased a catz 9005/9006 HID kit for my 97 camaro. You are lucky because its pretty much a basic bolt in for the 98-03 camaro's. My car needed some modifications to be made to the housings but it was well worth the money. I found a set for 450 buck but HID lights are pretty much illegal now in the states. My kit can be purchased from a company in Canada starting at around 550 bucks. How ever this was 400 of the best dollars I have spent on the car and I am going to purchase another kit for later on down the road. If you really want pics I could take some but ill just say the HID's are about as bright as the high beams but they shine at a lower light spectrum because of the differend housings. Any ways I have done alot of research on lights and the best kits on the market are CATZ kits.
Their web page is fet-usa.com
If you have any other questoins e-mail me

they are illegal if they are not OEM. if they are applied in some states aftermarket they are illegal. most cops will never mess with you because most dont know if there stock or not.

Some states heavily regulate headlights and taillights to the point that virtually no changes are allowed. This is true. Some states wont even allow you to add a 3rd brake light to an older car, like the chrome ones available to replace the emblem on the back of a '57 Chevy. A blanket statement saying that aftermarket light systems such as HID are illegal is not true. It varies widely from state to state. Don't buy any system that is labeled for "Off-Road Use Only". If you are concerned, check your local laws/regulations. Technically it is also illegal to drive with fog lights on in non-fog conditions, but we all know how much that is followed. Willis 00 is right in that most cops wont know if its stock or not. As long as they aren't as bright as high-beams, you'll probably be OK.
