Re: Carbon Fiber Engine Cover ( PICS ) >>
Yes very nice indeed, I emailed the company yesterday and I received a response this morning. Here is some pricing and their statement on this product for use in the United States :
"The engine cover in the brochure was fitted to an Australian Holden Commodore SS Ute. The LS-1 here in Australia has some slight differences to the American versions, ie. air intake, fuel lines, oil filler etc. At present we are still modifying the carbon-fibre engine cover to suit US models. Testing & development is done, so just the modifications of holes and other parts needs to be done. Their is a bit of a hold-up with the carbon-fibre, so the American version isn't quite complete yet."
USD $350 + shipping/tax for samples
USD $295 + shipping/tax for 10 or more
USD $275 + shipping/tax for 50 or more
USD $255 + shipping/tax for 100 or more
I responded asking if they are intending on tailoring this product for our vehicles (Camaro/Firebird/Trans AM).
I'll post updates here....

I did the same (emailed) and got the same response. I asked to be added to their database as a customer, as I'd prefer this for 350 to CF FRC's for just a little less.
I'll be in Australia Dec 18- Jan 5th, So i'll most likely pick one up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Thanks for your email. The engine cover in the brochure was fitted to an Australian Holden Commodore SS Ute, MY2001. Since we are Australian based, we do not distribute directly to American customers. We have a couple shops in the US lined-up to be our distributors. However, since you've contacted us directly I can offer you the same prices (one-off) we will be offering our distributors. They are as follows:
USD $350 + shipping/tax for samples
USD $295 + shipping/tax for 10 or more
USD $275 + shipping/tax for 50 or more
USD $255 + shipping/tax for 100 or more
If your still interested, I can add you to our database of customers interested in this product and can then contact you as soon as they are ready to roll. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me."

Re: Carbon Fiber Engine Cover ( PICS ) >>
I told him it was for a Camaro SS 2002, and he seems confident about it fitting.
I'll double check with him when I talk to him next and keep you updated.

I emailed early this morning asking specifically if it would fit a Camaro SS/Z28, Trans Am & Firebird. Specifically I asked what models they are targeting this product for.
Guess Jon and I are pretty much asking this guy the same questions. This is actually good because I want this company to know we are interested in CF products for our cars, I mean look at the Vette's as they have lots of goodies for under the hood.

Do you think this is going to fit our Camaro's ?
I emailed him back asking what model vehicles the US version is supposed to fit.
I too don't want CF FRCS....
Atleast he was consistent <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Carbon Fiber Engine Cover ( PICS ) >>
Here is the latest response,
"We are currently test fitting that LS-1 carbon-fibre cover on as many US LS-1's as possible. The camaro is definitely upon our list of cars to test fit. Unless their are any drastic considerations that will be impossible for us to alter, their will be a cover to suit your car and hopefully the firebird and Trans-Am"
Jon, it looks as though we may have the hook-up on our Camaro's. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I'm still out to lunch on this one. Can't decide
whether I like it or not. My initial thought was
wow, cool, but after seeing it on the engine, I
dunno.

You know, that cover, with the wiring mod, and a painted engine compartment would look absolutely beautiful.

I like it... wish I could put it on my WS6 TA, but I have a TNT nitrous system on it w/the purge and dual purge. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> It really does look good.

I got the same reply on fitting the 02 SS, etc.
He said they won't be finished, and ready to until after Jan 1. I'll post again when I hear back from them.

It is ok but ugly compared to the SDPC carbon Fiber cover for corvettes. Fits F-bodys like a glove and uses 4 bolts to hold down. Very nice!!
