Hey i just made a thread asking about thhis. But since youve obviously done it ill ask you how did you install the boot? I have already put the mba adapter with a hurst t handle but it looked kind of naked so i ordered a boot and its supposed to be here tomorrow and i have no idea how to pput it on

Well I got mine off a grand am. I just used a flat head and stuffed the metal ring under the hole. But if you remove the bolts( in the cup holder or ash tray, can't remember) and remove that portion on the console, you just feed the boot through the bottom. The screwdriver method took me less than a minute

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. I finally have my shifter how I want it. Nothing flashy, just the Pro 5.0 shifter with the UMI stick installed. I liked the stick that came with the Pro 5.0 but I wanted it a little shorter and the UMI stick gave it that perfect height. I have no complaints about the stock shift **** so it remains...for now.

^^^I cut down the Pro 5.0 stick, and it is too short for my liking.
How much shorter is the UMI than a 'stock', not cut down Pro 5.0??
(I hope the standard Hinson M.S. stick is not too short when I get that shifter. )
