Lightbulb Thinking about doing fixed headlights on the Hawk.

So I have always loved the fixed headlights SLP did on the prototype 98 Hawk. And I know there is one company that makes a kit. But on there site they don't really have good pics of the headlights on a bird.

Well today I found some good pics of the kit on a silver hawk. What do you guys think?

Those are still sealed beams... not really an upgrade. If you made your own fixed headlight kit with good HID projectors that could look wicked.

dude just make your own, its not that hard. just get some projectors, fab up some brackets, line up the beams and your done. making the lenses is easy just get some lexan from lows or something and wrap your metal headlight covers in flannel and stick in the oven for a few minutes. or just buy the lenses from breathless. the back part is harder though. you can also buy them from breathless and just tweak them a bit. or just make your own out of fiber glass.

the only time i liked the breathless performance lights, was on this car: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/355941

body color matched, and removed the clear lens. i like it.

That looks great, but the driver side just dosent line up right at all. I think I would rather keep the stockers IMO.

quick photoshop of the headlights with headlight eyelids or whatever you call them.

before

after (now keep in mind there would be a hood gap then the painted eyelids. I kind of did away with the gap in the photoshop lol)

If possible, i would try to attach the eyelids to the hood, because they look a lot better with the eyelids.

I agree. I hate these lights and the photoshopped pic looks awesome. It would be a good amount of work, but would be worth it in the end.

I hate pop-up headlights so this would be a no brainer for me - but I agree, the eyelids make it a lot better looking than the standard bpp units

I was in Milwaukee, WI on the way to a concert and this couple in a Pewter Trans-Am pulled up next to us in the evening where there was light yet, but you needed to pop the headlights. Seeing the Trans-Am with the headlights up and the fog lights on was probably one of the sexiest front ends I've seen on a car. You sir, need to not change a damn thing.

You can paint the inside to the body color.

I have them and love them. No more grinding lights or gear swaps or one not coming up once a month for no apparent reason at all.

I just bought some HID housings and plan to retro fit them this winter.

Sorry not feeling them but it is your car and it is real clean, as long as they make you enjoy your ride, more power to you.!

They don't flow well at all unless they are body colored with clear lenses
