Default can you paint chrome?

Just wondering if you can get a paint that will stick to the chrome. I have ws6 wheels and just want them black. Help please!

you can but the surface has to be preped really well like some heavy duty sanding to where there was no shine left.
maybe chrome can be striped but im not shure on that maybe try googleing it.

like he said ^^^ you have to prep it reallt well what i do is said it with 80 then again with 180 the adhesive promote it and prime it sand it smooth and paint

Sand blast them, prime them, sand them with 320-500 then paint away or have them powdercoated..its A LOT stronger!

Your supposed to sandblast, however i did my wheels by just sanding alot, without primer and they turned out fine, its been about a month. But just watch out because if your chrome is flaking or bubbling so will your paint ontop.

yep, if its bubbling or flaking at all have them blasted

Thats with any surface. 99# of a job is Preperation. The rest is Painting. I spent a obscene amout of time prepping my moser 12 bolt as the person helping me is a cabinet finisher where quality is paramount. I did not argue as it came out spectacular but definitly an experience in doing a job right.
