Question 98-02 Clear corners.. What bulbs do I need?

Can anyone tell me what bulbs I need for clear corners? I'm guessing the stock corners use clear bulbs with the orange lenses?

TIA !

I personally run the same bulbs as stock but in the amber color. Some people run the clear bulbs but I like the amber lit up.

So stock bulbs are clear, and when lit up it will be white? I dont really want the hassle of the local police if they see white signals although it might be worth the tradeoff if the orange bulbs are visible in the lenses lol

My ultimate goal is to have the clears but I just dont want orange bulbs clearly visible beneath them. i think it looks kind of odd. I have considered frosting the lenses so you cant see inside.

Auto zone should have "chrome" bulbs that light up amber. I believe they were designed specifically with clear lenses in mind.

stock bulbs are white, the housing gives it the amber. if you do clear corners with the 'chrome' or blacked out housing, youll want to get amber (or whatever color you like) for the bulb itself. normally when i get them from ebay they come with new stock style bulbs with an amber coating, but you can also get wledx5 or wledx6 bulbs and theyll plug and play (those are the commonish names for the styles of leds, as closely as i remember them)

The bulbs I installed with my clear corners were 3157A and 194A. The "A" means amber color. I like how it looks on my car.

I prefer 3157NA myself. The NA means "natural amber" and the glass is actually amber, not just clear glass with a coating on the outside. Results in a deeper amber color (which I prefer) and doesn't wear. The coating tends to burn off over time and also makes it more yellow than amber.

When I did my clear corners, the stock bulbs looked clear but when lit they projected a yellow look from the clear corners.
