Default Favorite appearance mods/best for the $

I am redoing my firebirds exterior and entire look. Tinting windows/tail lights black, painting wheels black, new hood, high rise spoiler, lowering, etcetc. I ask for opinions and advice, no hating on my poor old V6 please. My parents don't pay for anything, but they agreed if I drove the V6 until it dies completely then they will help with getting a new trans am. Yeah I'm gonna have fun with this while I can. I ust want to know what exactly you did to your car to make it look the best in your eyes. I know just putting the chrome TA wheels on mine from those HIDEOUS v6 firebird wheels made it look 100X better. I want the WS6 imitation hood, there is a local guy selling one.

Any ideas or suggestions?

outside of what you already mentioned, the only simple things that come to mind are:

- shorty antenna
- ceta mod
- remove side molding and also "firebird" from sides... will look waaaay cleaner
- possibly paint your calipers
- tint the front amber signals
- rear "pontac" fill in letters from emblempros.com

sounds like you've got a good plan already. all of that should make a big difference

CETA mod!!! ahh. If I remove all the side molding and firebird, will it leave any residue or anything?

Krimson already covered everything.

I 'd just add sequential turn signals to the list since you already have the 93-97 tail lights.

But to be serious, just do what Crimson said.

Personally I think you need nice wheels before you ever get a hood though.

nice stance > anything else (rims, hood, etc). I'll never break that rule again...

Wheels has the most impact on the look of the car. I say a set of rims is my favorite appearance mod.

Other than that, I jus' want to say: Be you, be unique. I get tired of clicking on threads to see the same ol', same ol' appearance mods on F-Bodies.

the bad thing about firebords is how little you can do with them. camaro's are more appearance mod-freindly

other than rims/drop there's only minor things you can do with them.... in other words, they're a Little boring. luckily they came from the factory looking great already

Just keep it really clean. Save all that money that you were gonna use for appearance mods and put it towards your TA

I was exactly where you are now. My biggest suggestion is to not buy anything that can't be swapped over, otherwise it is a waste of money. Get wheels and keep her clean, then save money for future T/A mods.

I agree.. keep it clean until you get the car you want.. Then use the money saved and spend it on the next car..

But, wheels, and tint and some springs will make the car look good..

What kind of wheels are fairly priced? I can't spend like 1000$ on a set of wheels and tires, period haha

check OEWheels, they're a sponsor here. they have a site and also sell on ebay. Thats where i've gone in the past for my rims. they have all the different corvette style rims in plenty of size/colors to choose from, and the prices are pretty low.
