Default Ebay Lowering kit?

There is an ebay kit for 75$ with all 4 springs. Can this be trusted? I know the Eibach kits run 200 ish, but still. Also what else is MANDATORY with a spring change?

I wouldn't. I thought I had sportlines on my car, but they are some red knockoffs like that. Car rides like complete crap even with new shocks. Can't wait to get a set of Stranos.

Spring rates could be crap with those. I don't know much about spring rates but 450 sounds really really high.

But whenever doing any lowering spring, you want a shock designed for it.

Fronts - 450
Rears - 250

Fronts are too soft and the rears are too stiff.

If you haven't already, you might want to post this in the suspension section. Spring/shock matching is important, quality is equally so. I had some mismatched springs on my car for a couple months and the ride was bad enough that I wanted to daily drive my wife's Sunfire instead!
I'd wait a bit and spend the extra for good shocks, but who knows? Maybe these are just fine. I just know that I wouldn't want to be the first guy to try them out.

I had those too. The ride height is sweet looking but it's too low for daily driving and the ride is shitty compared to the Pro-Kit I have now.

Also, if you go that low you will absolutely need a panhard bar. My rear was off almost 1".

Summit has a set for $175. Though I personally would rather just pay the bit extra and get a name brand like BMR/Strano/Eibach for about $50-$75 more.

Usually the v8 kits differ in spring rate. Check the part numbers on whatever springs your gonna get, if there are two different part numbers; one for the camaro/firebird and the other for SS/Z28/TA/WS6 then obviously the spring rates are different.

The panhard bar can be had from any of the site sponsors. UMI and BMR are extremely active on this board. It'd be proper to support them for that very reason. Of course there are different variations of panhard bar depending on your particular goals with the car.

Buying a set of unknown brand springs especially of off Ebay can be risky business...

Even buying what you think is a name brand spring off of Ebay can even be dangerous (knock offs).

When the springs do not perform as expected or as listed what do you do then?

We are very active in the late model GM community and the message boards so contacting us is never an issue

We do offer a set of 1.25" lowering springs and the pricing is very reasonable.

Additional information regarding the SP001 lowering spring kit can be found HERE

Any additional questions please feel free to give me a call here at the office as BMR has many options available to you......
