<strong>Does it really show up enough to make a difference? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yes, besides.. its the details that count <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
My .02 is that he did a beautiful job and it looks very nice. If you saw before and after pics of the front of the car the mod would stand out and be a very nice touch.
I saw a post on the same mod by someone else just recently. They took a stock Camaro grille and did the same thing. They took the grille off, trimmed the backs off the 'gills' so they were only about half as deep when they were done. Then they put the mesh behind the 'gills'. That looked good too. May have looked even better painted body color.
No matter what you do, a nice touch for any car is to paint that styrofoam bumper back there to make it 'disappear'. It's just plain ugly and a detail that makes a difference when you want your car to look it's best.
I have pics of my grille mod on my site in sig.
I did away with the grille all together, painted the styrofoam black, and put aluminum mesh in the 'nostrils'. I think that this is what GM had in mind when they originally designed the car. I believe this because the nose has that nice "Camaro" lettering back there. The mesh cost me about $2 at a hardware store and the sheet would have done at least 2 cars. It is gutter gaurd for keeping leaves and trash out of your rain gutters.

all you need is a Dremel, polishing kit with buffing wheels and Red rouge, and I finished it with White rouge from sears Hardware.....it's stainless steel, so you can buff it to your hearts content........ <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
