removing 00' Z28 headlight lens?

removing 00' Z28 headlight lens? Is it possible to gain access to the lens area around the bulbs by separating the clear plastic cover from the reflector/bulb housing? I want to paint everything, except the reflectors of course, the same color as the body of the car.

Re: removing 00' Z28 headlight lens? I think I have seen some one on here that has done it. Do a search see if you can find it. I tried to but when I heard a little crack I gave up. Good luck and becareful.

Re: removing 00' Z28 headlight lens? It seems to be sealed with a very strong adhesive. I may try some acetone around the edges to weaken the bond.
